Color or Colour? Challenge Dolls

Here in Australia, the spelling is "colour" but I know that in other parts of the world, it is "color". What does it matter when  beautiful dolls are made for the Art Dolls Only Color /Colour Challenge which finished at the end of May 2017  . Thank you to all who entered and to all who admire , I hope you will be inspired for the next challenge.  Enjoy these wonderful art dolls ... Wilma

Wood Fairy for Tickled Pink.
Made from piece of found wood and wire armature wrapped in soft cotton.

Art Dolls Only Challenges 2013 Part1

Art Dolls Only hosted monthly challenges throughout  2013 – and what exciting art dolls were created for these challenges. All the challenges were open which meant that all doll makers were invited to participate.  All the suggested themes for the challenges came from members themselves. I started the year with a long list of all wonderful suggested themes, so I used Random Generator and we were in business with the first six months chosen even before the ink was dry  on the 2013 calendar!  The photo collages below are representative of the dolls posted for  each month's challenge - not all art dolls have been posted here. However, they can all been seen by going to the  Art Dolls Only Facebook page  and click on to the Events section.

“Zodiac “ in January was obviously not a popular subject or perhaps we were all still recovering from Christmas and writing our New Year’s resolution lists.
January - Zodiac
In February, we seemed to love the idea of 'water' with so many beautiful mermaids, and water sprites.

From a cute chihuahua to a sinister satyr ...and all sorts of Animalia inspired art dolls appeared for March
